Jessica Conley, LCMHC
Asking for help can be one of the hardest things to do - no matter what age you are. My mission is to provide a safe, confidential, and empathetic environment where you can feel comfortable exploring your thoughts, behaviors, and emotions openly. Through our collaborative efforts we can strengthen your skills and explore new ways to face life stressors more effectively. By reflecting on both past and present experiences, therapy will help form a greater understanding of one's self and resolution to concerns. My goal is to offer unwavering support as you journey through self-exploration to find greater life satisfaction and functioning in all aspects of your life.
I am originally from Michigan and earned my Bachelor's in Psychology with a minor in Biology from Central Michigan University and a Master's in Education in Counseling from Winthrop University. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Clinician (LCMHC) in North Carolina. Prior to becoming licensed as a mental health clinician, I was a certified school counselor and spent 8 years working in middle and high school. I have worked in outpatient mental health since 2016. In my spare time I love to be active and outdoors with my dog Dexter when possible. I enjoy running, reading, hiking, being on the water, spending time with friends, and traveling when possible. I am a huge Michigan fan, (GO BLUE!), and love watching college and NFL football.
I primarily work with adults who struggle with the demands of daily life and significant life transitions and adjustment including relationship concerns, anxiety, depression, loss and grief, and past trauma.
My therapeutic approach is person-centered and strength based. I utilize a variety of research and evidence based techniques from several therapeutic modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and trauma informed care including Brainspotting.
